‘Barbie’: Early Reactions Praise ‘Pitch-Perfect Script’

Following the film’s Los Angeles premiere, the first reactions to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie are in, and those who have seen the film so far seem to be loving it. The film, Gerwig’s third feature, stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as (a) Barbie and (a) Ken, who have to leave Barbieland to journey to the real world in hopes of solving Barbie’s (Robbie) existential crisis.

Eze Baum, our Editor-in-Chief, called the film “a triumph,” praising the film’s “pitch-perfect script,” noting Ryan Gosling as the film’s standout performer.

I have seen #Barbie! The craftsmanship is incredible. In particular the costume & production design includes next-level work that heavily contributes to creating the feeling that these truly are Barbies, their dream houses, and their worlds come to life.
